Dr. Teresa Chanting Sun
Dr. Teresa Chanting Sun, DDS, MS, is a specialist in periodontology and implantology at Mackay Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. She is also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Periodontology at the National Defense Medical Center School of Dentistry in Taipei, Taiwan. Dr. Sun is a Diplomate of both the American and Taiwanese Boards of Periodontology. She obtained her Advanced Education Certificate and Master of Science degree in Periodontology from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in the USA. Dr. Sun is a former ITI Scholar (Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Boston, USA), an ITI Fellow, a founding member of Young ITI Global, and the Communications Officer of the ITI Section Taiwan. She is also a board member and the current chair of international affairs of the Taiwan Academy of Periodontology. She has authored many peer-reviewed scientific articles related to periodontal and dental implant surgical procedures, as well as digital dentistry. She is also a reviewer for multiple journals and currently serves on the editorial board of Forum Implantologicum. Dr. Sun is recognized as a standout clinician and lectures both nationally and internationally. She was awarded the winner of the Europerio9 Periocontest in 2018, the Osteology Case Award in 2020, and the Young ITI Speaker Award in 2021.
